thanks for the suggestion, gener7, but no help so far.
(just a check on your path syntax above: "Application Support" is the name of the folder under "Library". You substituted the space between the 2 words with a back-slash and a space. I was up on old MS-DOS commands on PC's but not up on terminal commands on Mac. Is this proper syntax? sometimes "%20" is used instead of 'space' ...)
Oddly enough, Adobe has two "apps" that start the "Creative Cloud" control panel. One, the red folder called "Adobe Creative Cloud" seems to install the CC control panel (background, resident app) with icon in the top "finder" menu bar (top of the normal desktop). this icon, and the panel it opens, seems NOT to crash. But the other RED adobe icon, the Adobe App Manager.app, DOES CRASH every time I open it. It stays visible for about 5 seconds then disappears. This also seems to control the "un-installers", which crashed when I tried to uninstall Dreamweaver.
BTW, what's the difference between "CC" apps and "CS6" apps?
thanks!
Gary
